Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner with a specialization in Family Practice to join our growing team in Whittenton, Taunton. This is a full-time opportunity for a highly motivated individual passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered primary care services. As a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner, you will be instrumental in managing acute and chronic health conditions, performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing comprehensive treatment plans for patients across the lifespan. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to individuals and families across the lifespan.
- Conduct thorough patient histories and physical examinations, assessing health status and identifying potential health risks.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests (e.g., labs, X-rays) to formulate accurate diagnoses.
- Develop, implement, and manage individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications, therapies, and lifestyle modifications.
- Manage acute and chronic illnesses, performing follow-up care and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Perform minor in-office procedures and emergency interventions as within scope of practice.
- Provide patient education and counseling on health maintenance, disease prevention, and medication adherence.
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and timely electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and integrated patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to maintain licensure and enhance professional skills.
- Refer patients to specialists as needed and coordinate care transitions.
Required Skills
- Current active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current active Massachusetts Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license.
- Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- DEA registration and prescriptive authority in Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with diverse patient populations in an outpatient primary care setting.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish or Portuguese) highly valued.
- Experience with population health management and preventive care initiatives.
- Membership in professional organizations (e.g., AANP, MAAPN).
