As a Nursing Assistant, you will be an integral part of our dynamic care team, working closely with Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals. Your primary focus will be to deliver high-quality direct care, supporting residents with their daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their comfort and well-being. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with all aspects of personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
  • Support residents with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  • Help residents with mealtimes, ensuring they receive adequate nutrition and hydration.
  • Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and accurately report any changes to the nursing team.
  • Document care provided and observations made in residents' care plans.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe environment for residents.
  • Engage residents in social activities and promote their overall well-being and independence.
  • Assist with the administration of medication under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively and empathetically with residents, their families, and colleagues.

Required Skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a care home, hospital, or similar healthcare setting.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent qualification.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Understanding of person-centred care principles.
