Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time Nursing Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team at Andalusia Group Hospitals in Alexandria. Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities, including personal hygiene (bathing, dressing, grooming), mobility, and feeding, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) accurately and report any significant changes to the nursing staff promptly.
- Help patients with ambulation and transfers, utilizing proper body mechanics and assistive devices to ensure safety.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized patient environment, including changing bed linens and ensuring patient rooms are stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist nurses with medical procedures, examinations, and treatments as directed, preparing equipment and ensuring patient readiness.
- Respond to patient call lights promptly and courteously, addressing their needs or relaying requests to the appropriate healthcare professional.
- Document patient care activities, observations, and vital signs in the electronic health record system accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a reassuring and compassionate atmosphere.
- Transport patients within the hospital as needed for tests, therapies, or discharges, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Adhere strictly to all hospital policies, procedures, and infection control guidelines to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including doctors, nurses, and other support staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
