Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) accurately.
- Help patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe patient environment.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, promoting a sense of comfort and dignity.
- Document patient observations, care provided, and changes in condition clearly and promptly.
- Assist nurses with medical procedures as directed and within the scope of practice.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Respond to patient calls and requests promptly and professionally.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, infection control policies, and patient privacy standards.
Required Skills
- Completed training as a Nursing Assistant (Pflegehelfer/in or equivalent).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting (hospital, nursing home, or clinic).
- Proven ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly organized.
- Proficiency in German (B2 level or higher) is essential for patient interaction and documentation.
- Physical stamina to perform job duties, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Additional language skills are a plus.
- Specialized experience in geriatric care or rehabilitation.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to changing situations.
