Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities including personal care, mobility, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes or concerns to supervising nurses.
- Help patients with rehabilitation exercises and mobilisation under guidance.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Document patient observations and care provided accurately and timely.
- Support patients with hydration and nutrition, assisting with meal times.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety, infection control, and safeguarding policies.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients, promoting their dignity and independence.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Nursing Assistant or Healthcare Assistant (minimum 1 year).
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong observational and documentation skills.
- Genuine empathy, compassion, and a patient-centred approach.
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and data protection (GDPR).
- Physical stamina and ability to assist patients with mobility.
Preferred Qualifications
