Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Nutrition and Wellness Aide to join our vibrant team in Shomolu, Lagos. This vital role involves supporting individuals in achieving their health and wellness goals through practical nutritional guidance, educational support, and administrative assistance. As a Nutrition and Wellness Aide, you will work closely with clients, under the supervision of qualified nutritionists or dietitians, to implement personalized wellness plans. Your day will involve assisting with group workshops, providing one-on-one basic dietary advice, tracking client progress, and maintaining essential records.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and conducting nutrition education workshops and cooking demonstrations.
- Provide basic one-on-one dietary guidance and support to clients, following established plans.
- Monitor and track client progress, documenting relevant data and observations accurately.
- Prepare and distribute educational materials and resources for clients and community members.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, managing client files, and preparing routine reports.
- Support the overall wellness programs by helping organize events and outreach activities.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for client consultations and workshops.
Required Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (proficiency in Yoruba is a plus).
- Basic understanding of nutrition principles and healthy eating habits.
- Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach when working with diverse populations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite for record-keeping).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Nutrition, Dietetics, Health Education, or a related health field.
- Previous experience (internship or paid) in a healthcare, community health, or wellness setting.
- Knowledge of local food culture and traditional dietary practices in Lagos.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
