As a Nutritionist in this vital setting, you will be instrumental in delivering comprehensive nutritional care across various departments, from acute care and critical care units to outpatient clinics. Your daily responsibilities will encompass conducting thorough nutritional assessments, developing personalized meal plans tailored to individual patient needs and medical conditions, and providing evidence-based dietary counseling. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients across various departments.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized medical nutrition therapy plans.
  • Provide evidence-based dietary counseling and education to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Monitor and document patient nutritional status, progress, and outcomes.
  • Participate in ward rounds, clinics, and patient care conferences.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of hospital nutrition policies and procedures.
  • Educate staff and community groups on nutrition-related topics.
  • Stay current with the latest nutritional research and best practices.
  • Manage and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with clinical standards.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or a related field.
  • Registered Dietitian or eligible for registration with a relevant professional body.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Nutritionist, preferably in a hospital or clinic setting.
  • Proficiency in medical nutrition therapy for a wide range of conditions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Nutrition, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Specialized certification in areas such as diabetes education, renal nutrition, or critical care nutrition.
  • Experience in developing and leading health promotion programs.
