Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nutritionist specializing in wellness and diet to join our dedicated team in La Tour Koenig, Port Louis. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed nutritional assessments and lifestyle evaluations for individual clients.
- Develop personalized, evidence-based dietary plans and wellness strategies tailored to client needs, health conditions, and goals.
- Provide one-on-one nutrition counseling and coaching to support clients in achieving sustainable dietary and lifestyle changes.
- Educate clients on proper nutrition, healthy eating habits, food preparation, and the management of specific dietary restrictions or conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, weight management).
- Design and deliver engaging group workshops and seminars on various nutrition and wellness topics for the wider community or corporate clients.
- Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting plans as necessary, and providing ongoing motivation and support.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting all consultations, plans, and progress.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals or wellness coaches within Career.zycto to provide integrated client care.
- Stay abreast of the latest research and developments in nutrition, dietetics, and public health, integrating new knowledge into practice.
- Contribute to the development of wellness content, resources, and programs for Career.zycto.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Nutritionist or Dietitian.
- Proven ability to develop and implement personalized nutrition plans.
- Strong knowledge of human physiology, metabolism, and the impact of nutrition on health.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively educate diverse client populations.
- Empathetic, patient, and highly motivational approach to client coaching.
- Proficient in conducting nutritional assessments and interpreting related health data.
- Familiarity with local dietary habits and common health challenges in Mauritius.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health Nutrition, or a related discipline.
- Certification in a specialized area of nutrition (e.g., sports nutrition, pediatric nutrition, weight management).
- Experience with nutrition-specific software or client management systems.
- Fluency in French and Mauritian Creole in addition to English.
- Prior experience in a corporate wellness program or a community health setting.
- Active registration with a recognized professional nutrition or dietetics body.
