Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for individuals across various age groups and conditions, identifying their needs and goals.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, utilising a range of therapeutic interventions to enhance functional independence.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations on adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and environmental modifications.
- Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely client records, reports, and documentation in accordance with professional standards.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and carers to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
- Participate in clinical supervision, peer support, and continuous professional development activities.
Required Skills
- HCPC registration (Health and Care Professions Council)
- Demonstrable experience as a qualified Occupational Therapist, preferably within a community or varied caseload setting.
- Excellent assessment, analytical, and clinical reasoning skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of building rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing evidence-based intervention plans.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a diverse caseload effectively.
- Full UK driving license and access to a car for community visits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-graduate qualification or specialist training in a relevant area (e.g., neurorehabilitation, complex physical disability).
- Experience with electronic patient record systems.
- Participation in service development or quality improvement initiatives.
