Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist specializing in Therapy & Assessment to join our dynamic team, supporting a diverse range of clients in the Cotham, Bristol area. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for individuals across various age groups and conditions, identifying their needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, utilising a range of therapeutic interventions to enhance functional independence.
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations on adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and environmental modifications.
  • Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely client records, reports, and documentation in accordance with professional standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and carers to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, peer support, and continuous professional development activities.

Required Skills

  • HCPC registration (Health and Care Professions Council)
  • Demonstrable experience as a qualified Occupational Therapist, preferably within a community or varied caseload setting.
  • Excellent assessment, analytical, and clinical reasoning skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of building rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing evidence-based intervention plans.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a diverse caseload effectively.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a car for community visits.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-graduate qualification or specialist training in a relevant area (e.g., neurorehabilitation, complex physical disability).
  • Experience with electronic patient record systems.
  • Participation in service development or quality improvement initiatives.
