Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a highly reliable and efficient Office Runner & Document Delivery Specialist to join our growing team in Samburu County. In this pivotal role, you will be the lifeblood of our daily operations, ensuring the timely and secure transfer of crucial documents, packages, and communications between our office and various external partners, clients, and government agencies across the region. Your day will involve navigating local routes, managing delivery schedules, and handling sensitive information with the utmost care. You’ll play a direct role in maintaining the smooth flow of information, directly impacting our operational efficiency and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Execute timely and secure delivery and collection of documents, packages, and mail to and from clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders across Samburu County.
- Maintain accurate records of all deliveries and collections, obtaining necessary signatures and ensuring proper documentation.
- Assist with internal mail distribution, sorting, and preparation for dispatch.
- Perform general office errands as required, including purchasing office supplies, banking, and other ad-hoc tasks.
- Ensure the safe and proper handling of company property and information at all times.
- Plan and optimize daily routes to maximize efficiency and meet deadlines effectively.
- Communicate proactively with the office team regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to handle varying weather conditions and traffic.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for record-keeping and simple calculations.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Valid Kenyan motorcycle rider's license and experience navigating local routes.
- High level of discretion and integrity when handling confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar office runner, courier, or delivery role.
- Familiarity with the geography and key locations within Samburu County.
