Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an independent and confidential resource for employees, clients, and other stakeholders to address concerns and disputes.
- Receive, review, and investigate complaints and grievances impartially, ensuring due process and fairness.
- Conduct fact-finding, gather relevant information, and interview involved parties while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Facilitate informal resolution of conflicts through mediation, negotiation, and counseling.
- Provide guidance on company policies, procedures, and relevant legal frameworks to all parties.
- Identify systemic issues, trends, and patterns in complaints, and recommend policy or procedural improvements to management.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on findings and recommendations, ensuring objectivity and clarity.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all inquiries and resolutions.
- Promote ethical conduct, transparency, and fairness across the organization.
- Develop and deliver training sessions on conflict resolution, ethical behavior, and ombudsman services.
- Collaborate with HR, Legal, and other departments to ensure consistent application of policies and practices.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a related field such as ombudsman services, HR, legal, compliance, or conflict resolution.
- Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise independent judgment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) in both German and English.
- Demonstrated ability to mediate complex disputes and facilitate constructive dialogue.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with attention to detail.
- In-depth understanding of ethical principles, corporate governance, and workplace regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Law, Human Resources, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in conflict resolution, mediation, or as a certified organizational ombudsman.
