Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems, handling cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods.
- Provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers warmly, answering inquiries, and assisting with their shopping experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring a tidy and welcoming environment.
- Verify pricing and product information, resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts, accurately reporting daily transactions.
- Assist with bagging groceries and help customers with carry-out services when necessary.
- Adhere to all store policies and procedures, including those related to loss prevention and cash handling.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth store operations and a positive shopping environment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Cashier or in a customer service role, preferably within a retail or supermarket setting.
- Excellent numerical and calculation skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
