As an On-site Gardener, you will be responsible for ensuring the impeccable appearance and health of all gardens, green spaces, and ornamental plants within the property.
Your role will be crucial in creating and preserving an aesthetically pleasing and serene environment for residents and visitors alike. This involves a comprehensive range of gardening tasks, from routine care to more specialized horticultural practices. We are looking for someone who understands the unique challenges of gardening in the Dubai climate and can apply appropriate techniques to ensure plant vitality and longevity. Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily watering, pruning, trimming, and weeding of all garden areas.
- Monitor plant health, identify pests and diseases, and apply appropriate treatments.
- Maintain lawns through regular mowing, fertilizing, and aeration.
- Plant new shrubs, trees, flowers, and seasonal bedding plants as per landscape designs.
- Manage irrigation systems, ensuring optimal water usage and system functionality.
- Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of all garden areas, including debris removal.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new landscape projects.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Provide regular reports on garden conditions and material requirements.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Gardener or Landscaper, preferably within an estate or large property setting.
- Solid understanding of plant care, horticulture practices, and local flora in the UAE climate.
- Proficiency in operating various gardening tools and machinery (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers).
- Ability to identify and treat common plant diseases and pest infestations.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and water conservation techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high aesthetic standards.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding outdoor tasks in varying weather conditions.
- Basic communication skills in English.
