Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, and vacuuming designated areas daily.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and other high-touch surfaces thoroughly and regularly.
- Empty waste bins, transport waste and recyclable materials to designated collection points.
- Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and hand sanitizer.
- Operate various cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, including vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting needs to the supervisor promptly.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures diligently.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards observed to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.
- Ensure all areas are presentable and free of clutter at the end of each shift.
- Adhere to specific client requests and special cleaning instructions as provided.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Housekeeper or in a similar cleaning role.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies and how to use them safely.
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Physical stamina and good physical health, capable of lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in cleaning services or hospitality housekeeping.
- Experience working in a commercial or institutional setting (e.g., hotels, offices, healthcare facilities).
- Ability to speak and understand basic English for safety and communication purposes.
