Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using specialized diagnostic equipment and tools.
  • Execute repairs on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and HVAC.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs or preventative maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle status, repair recommendations, and estimated costs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and shop procedures.
  • Keep accurate records of all services performed, parts used, and time spent on repairs.
  • Stay current with automotive technology and repair techniques through ongoing training and professional development.
  • Assist in training junior mechanics or apprentices as needed.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of professional automotive repair experience
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various vehicle systems
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency with common hand and power tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASE Certifications (e.g., A1-A8, L1)
  • Experience with specific vehicle brands or advanced diagnostic systems
  • Formal automotive technical education or vocational training
