Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and guest preferences.
- Interact with guests, take orders, and provide recommendations on drink selections.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, including glassware, spirits, and garnishes.
- Handle cash and process credit card transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for alcohol consumption.
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and intervene as necessary to ensure responsible service.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal liquor laws and health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Perform opening and closing duties, including inventory management and restocking.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold the restaurant's service standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Bartender in a restaurant or hospitality setting (minimum 2 years).
- Excellent knowledge of drink preparation, ingredients, and classic and contemporary cocktail recipes.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using POS systems for order entry and payment processing.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- High level of professionalism and a friendly, outgoing personality.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- TIPS or LEAD certification for responsible alcohol service.
- Knowledge of wine and beer pairings with food items.
- Experience with inventory management and ordering.
