As an On-site Security Guard with Career.zycto, you will be the frontline presence, a critical asset in maintaining order and providing peace of mind. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring premises, deterring unlawful activities, and responding promptly to emergencies or security incidents. We seek someone who is proactive, professional, and capable of exercising sound judgment under pressure. You will be expected to conduct regular patrols, both on foot and via vehicle (if applicable), to identify and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or breaches of security.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned premises, both on foot and potentially via vehicle, to deter crime and ensure safety.
- Monitor surveillance equipment (CCTV, alarms, etc.) for any suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Control access to the property, verifying identification, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining entry logs.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergency calls, and security incidents.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws.
- Document all incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports.
- Interact professionally and courteously with clients, employees, and visitors, providing assistance and directions as needed.
- Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or other concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Provide first aid or basic medical assistance in emergencies until professional medical help arrives.
- De-escalate situations involving disruptive individuals and, if necessary, contact law enforcement.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Security Guard or similar role (minimum 1 year).
- Valid Arizona Guard Card (or ability to obtain one prior to employment).
- Excellent observation and communication skills.
- Ability to write clear and concise incident reports.
- Strong understanding of security operations and procedures.
- Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Proficiency in using security equipment (e.g., CCTV, radios, access control systems).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or related field.
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
- Prior experience in a customer service-oriented security role.
- Familiarity with the Eagle Ridge/Flagstaff area.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
