Job Description

Border Timbers Limited is actively seeking an Online CRM Data Enrichment Specialist to join our innovative and collaborative team. In this fully remote role, you will be an instrumental force in maintaining the integrity, completeness, and overall health of our critical customer relationship management (CRM) database, which serves as the backbone for our strategic sales, marketing, and customer service initiatives. Your primary objective will be to proactively research, rigorously validate, and meticulously update client and prospect information, ensuring that our data is consistently current, impeccably accurate, and always ready for strategic deployment. This position demands a highly proactive individual who can proficiently work independently to identify missing information, diligently correct discrepancies, and comprehensively enrich existing records with valuable, actionable insights gathered from diverse online sources such as company websites, professional networking platforms, industry-specific directories, and public records. You will be responsible for standardizing data formats, meticulously cleaning up outdated entries, and integrating new, verified information seamlessly into our CRM system. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough and systematic online research to gather, verify, and enrich data for existing and potential customer records within the CRM system.
- Ensure the utmost accuracy, completeness, and consistency of all CRM data, including contact details, company information, industry classifications, and historical interactions.
- Identify and correct data discrepancies, remove duplicate entries, and update outdated information through diligent and systematic data cleansing processes.
- Implement and rigorously adhere to established data entry standards and best practices to consistently maintain a high level of data quality and integrity.
- Collaborate effectively with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to understand their specific data needs and provide accurate, actionable insights and support.
- Generate comprehensive reports on key data quality metrics and present findings, along with recommendations, to relevant stakeholders.
- Stay continuously updated with new data sources, advanced research tools, and evolving CRM features to continuously improve data enrichment methodologies and processes.
- Assist in the migration and seamless integration of data from various external sources into the CRM system as required.
- Protect and maintain the strict confidentiality and security of all sensitive customer and company information.
- Actively contribute to the development, refinement, and ongoing implementation of data governance policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho CRM, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar)
- Exceptional attention to detail and unwavering accuracy in all aspects of data handling and entry
- Strong proficiency in online research and information verification techniques and tools
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with ability to articulate findings clearly
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a remote work environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, analytical approach to identifying and resolving data challenges
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a closely related field
- At least 2 years of dedicated experience in a data entry, data quality, CRM administration, or data enrichment role
- Practical experience with specialized data enrichment tools and platforms
- Familiarity with data protection regulations and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, POPIA if applicable)
- Understanding of the forestry, agriculture, or related natural resources industry
