Job Description

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Online Donation Campaign Strategist to join our dynamic fundraising team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute to our vital humanitarian mission from anywhere, while being anchored to our operations context in Mocímboa da Praia, Cabo Delgado Province, Mozambique. As an Online Donation Campaign Strategist, you will be instrumental in developing, executing, and optimizing innovative digital fundraising campaigns to engage supporters and secure the resources needed to deliver life-saving medical care worldwide. You will craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, leveraging various digital channels including email, social media, search, and display advertising to drive donor acquisition, retention, and loyalty.

Your role will involve end-to-end campaign management, from strategic planning and content development to A/B testing, performance analysis, and reporting. You will work collaboratively with content creators, digital marketers, data analysts, and field teams to ensure our fundraising efforts are aligned with our global communication strategies and reflect the urgency of our humanitarian work. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive online donation campaigns across multiple digital channels (email, social media, PPC, display, etc.).
  • Craft compelling fundraising messages and calls to action, ensuring brand consistency and alignment with MSF’s mission and values.
  • Conduct market research and audience segmentation to target potential donors effectively and personalize campaign experiences.
  • Oversee A/B testing and optimization efforts for landing pages, ad copy, email content, and donation forms to maximize conversion rates.
  • Analyze campaign performance data, generate reports, and provide actionable insights to inform future strategies and improve ROI.
  • Collaborate with content, communications, and field teams to gather compelling stories and visuals for campaigns.
  • Stay abreast of digital fundraising trends, technologies, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Manage campaign budgets and ensure efficient allocation of resources to achieve fundraising targets.
  • Ensure all digital fundraising activities comply with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and ethical fundraising standards.
  • Contribute to the overall digital strategy development for donor acquisition and retention.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in designing and executing successful online fundraising or digital marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising platforms (Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram Ads, LinkedIn Ads).
  • Proficiency in email marketing platforms and CRM systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for storytelling and persuasive copywriting.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Advanced knowledge of A/B testing methodologies and conversion rate optimization (CRO) techniques.
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
