Job Description
Are you a passionate digital fundraising expert with a talent for crafting compelling narratives and driving online engagement? The Zimbabwe Red Cross Society is seeking a dynamic and innovative Online Donation Campaign Strategist to join our team. This fully remote role offers a unique opportunity to directly impact our life-saving humanitarian work by developing, implementing, and optimizing digital fundraising campaigns that resonate with a global audience.
As our Online Donation Campaign Strategist, you will be instrumental in growing our online donor base and increasing financial support for our critical programs. You will be responsible for conceptualizing creative and effective online campaigns, leveraging various digital channels including social media, email marketing, search engine marketing, and our website. Your strategic vision will ensure our appeals are timely, impactful, and aligned with our organizational values and current humanitarian needs. You will dive deep into donor data, identify trends, and continuously refine our strategies to maximize conversion rates and donor retention. This role requires a blend of creative thinking, analytical prowess, and a deep understanding of digital marketing tools and fundraising best practices. You will work collaboratively with our communications, programs, and finance teams to translate our impactful stories into powerful calls to action, ensuring transparency and accountability in all fundraising efforts. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive online donation campaign strategies aligned with ZRCS's fundraising goals and humanitarian objectives.
- Manage end-to-end digital fundraising campaigns across various platforms, including social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn), email, and website.
- Craft compelling and persuasive fundraising appeals, calls-to-action, and content tailored for digital channels.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance using web analytics and CRM tools, providing actionable insights for optimization.
- Identify new digital fundraising opportunities, trends, and technologies to expand ZRCS's online donor reach and engagement.
- Segment donor databases and personalize communications to enhance donor retention and cultivate long-term relationships.
- Collaborate with the communications team to ensure brand consistency and compelling storytelling across all digital touchpoints.
- Manage digital advertising budgets, optimizing spend for maximum ROI.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant data protection regulations and fundraising best practices.
- Stay informed about humanitarian crises and ZRCS's programmatic activities to create timely and relevant appeals.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in digital marketing and online fundraising strategies.
- Proficiency with various digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media management platforms, email marketing software like Mailchimp/Constant Contact).
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge) for donor management and segmentation.
- Strong content creation and copywriting skills for fundraising appeals.
- Excellent analytical abilities and experience with A/B testing and campaign optimization.
- Solid understanding of SEO, SEM, and social media advertising.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote environment.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Non-profit Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in online fundraising for a non-profit organization or humanitarian agency.
- Experience with international fundraising campaigns and diverse donor bases.
- Familiarity with the humanitarian sector and the work of the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement.
- Certifications in digital marketing or fundraising.
