Career.zycto is looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven Online Merchandising Specialist to join our growing team in Little Italy, Ottawa. As our Online Merchandising Specialist, you will be the expert voice for how our products are represented online. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive online merchandising strategies across all e-commerce platforms to optimize product visibility and sales.
  • Oversee the end-to-end process of product listing management, including accurate data entry, compelling descriptions, high-quality imagery, and relevant attributes.
  • Categorize and organize products effectively to ensure intuitive navigation and an excellent user experience on our digital storefront.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan, schedule, and execute online promotional campaigns, ensuring timely launch and accurate representation.
  • Conduct regular analysis of sales performance, website traffic, conversion rates, and customer behavior to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement A/B tests on product pages, category layouts, and promotional content to optimize for conversion and engagement.
  • Monitor competitor activities and stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in online merchandising and e-commerce.
  • Work closely with SEO specialists to optimize product content for search engines, enhancing organic discoverability.
  • Ensure all website content, including product information and promotional banners, is up-to-date and reflects current offerings.
  • Generate detailed reports on merchandising performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in online merchandising, e-commerce management, or a similar digital retail role.
  • Proficiency with major e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, WooCommerce).
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to interpret data and drive decisions.
  • Exceptional copywriting and visual merchandising abilities to create engaging product presentations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify market trends and consumer behavior patterns.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, E-commerce, or a related field.
  • Experience with A/B testing platforms and conversion rate optimization (CRO) methodologies.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices specifically for e-commerce product content.
