Job Description
Are you a compassionate, results-driven Registered Dietitian Nutritionist passionate about empowering individuals to achieve their health and wellness goals from the comfort of their own homes? Teladoc Health is seeking an “Online Nutritionist” to join our innovative and rapidly expanding virtual care team. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise on a broad scale, impacting lives across diverse populations through our state-of-the-art telehealth platform. In this fully remote, “Work from Anywhere” role, you will be instrumental in delivering personalized, evidence-based nutrition counseling and education. You will engage with members through virtual consultations, utilizing secure video conferencing and messaging tools to develop tailored dietary plans, set achievable goals, and provide ongoing support and motivation to foster sustainable lifestyle changes.
This position demands a proactive approach, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a steadfast commitment to leveraging technology to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You will be at the forefront of virtual nutrition, guiding members through various health challenges, including but not limited to, weight management, chronic disease prevention and management (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia), digestive health, food allergies and intolerances, maternal nutrition, sports nutrition, and general wellness optimization. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual nutrition consultations with members, assessing dietary needs, health status, and lifestyle factors.
- Develop and implement personalized, evidence-based nutrition care plans tailored to individual member goals and health conditions.
- Provide ongoing virtual coaching, education, and motivational support to empower members to make sustainable dietary and lifestyle changes.
- Utilize Teladoc Health's proprietary telehealth platform and digital tools for scheduling, documentation, and member engagement.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within Teladoc Health to provide holistic and integrated care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
- Stay current with the latest nutrition science, research, and best practices in virtual care delivery.
Required Skills
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- State licensure or certification as required by the state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in nutrition counseling or clinical dietetics
- Strong understanding of evidence-based nutrition principles and medical nutrition therapy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on empathetic and motivational interviewing
- Proficiency in using telehealth platforms, EMR systems, and general computer applications
- Ability to work independently, manage a caseload, and thrive in a remote work environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field
- Specialty certifications (e.g., Certified Diabetes Educator – CDCES, Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics – CSSD)
- Experience with various virtual communication tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams)
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish)
- Experience in corporate wellness or health coaching programs
