Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers to the optical shop, providing a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
- Assist customers with basic inquiries, directing them to appropriate staff or sections of the store.
- Learn to assist customers in selecting appropriate eyeglass frames and lenses based on their prescription, lifestyle, and aesthetic preferences.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing the appointment book efficiently.
- Perform basic administrative duties, including data entry, filing, and maintaining customer records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the optical shop, ensuring frames are displayed neatly and the environment is welcoming.
- Support inventory management by assisting with stock checks and organizing merchandise.
- Shadow experienced opticians and optometrists to learn about various eye conditions, lens technologies, and optical dispensing techniques.
- Handle routine customer service issues, escalating complex matters to senior staff.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems for sales transactions and process payments accurately.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Exceptional customer service orientation and a desire to help others.
- Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, email).
