Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking dedicated Order Pickers to join our growing team in Osgodby, Selby. As an Order Picker, you will be a vital link in our supply chain, directly contributing to our operational success and customer satisfaction.
Your day-to-day will involve using various warehouse equipment, including handheld scanners, to meticulously locate and retrieve products from designated storage areas. Attention to detail is paramount, as you’ll be responsible for verifying product codes, quantities, and ensuring items are free from damage before packaging. The role demands physical stamina, as it involves frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods within our busy warehouse. Safety is always our top priority, and you will be expected to adhere strictly to all company health and safety guidelines, maintaining a clean and organised workspace.

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to picking lists and instructions.
- Utilise handheld scanners and warehouse management systems to track and manage inventory.
- Ensure the quality and integrity of products picked, reporting any discrepancies or damages.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., pallet trucks, where trained).
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries as required.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily targets and operational goals.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or Warehouse Operative.
- Experience using handheld scanners or warehouse management systems.
- Forklift license (e.g., Counterbalance or Reach Truck) is a plus, but not essential.
- Familiarity with health and safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
