Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Painter and Decorator to join our dynamic facilities team at the Hubland Campus Area in Würzburg. Your primary responsibilities will involve a wide range of painting and decorating tasks, encompassing both interior and exterior projects. This includes meticulous surface preparation such as cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and repairing imperfections to ensure a flawless finish. You will be expected to apply various types of paints, varnishes, and wallpapers using brushes, rollers, and spray guns, always adhering to health and safety regulations and environmental guidelines. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, scraping, sanding, filling holes, and cracks prior to painting or decorating.
  • Apply various types of paint, varnish, stain, and wallpaper to interior and exterior surfaces using appropriate tools and techniques (brushes, rollers, spray equipment).
  • Select and mix paints to achieve desired colors and textures, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Inspect finished surfaces for flaws and ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding or other access equipment safely.
  • Maintain and clean painting tools, brushes, and equipment regularly.
  • Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with other maintenance staff and tradespersons on integrated projects.
  • Manage paint and supply inventories, ensuring efficient use of materials and minimizing waste.
  • Perform minor repair work on surfaces as needed before painting.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Painter and Decorator
  • Excellent knowledge of painting material and application techniques
  • Proficiency in surface preparation (sanding, scraping, patching)

  • Good physical condition and stamina to perform manual tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in German language (B1 level or higher)
  • Valid German driver's license (Class B)
  • Familiarity with various types of scaffolding and safety equipment
