As our Painter specializing in Building Renovation, you will be an integral part of our project teams, responsible for the preparation, painting, and finishing of various surfaces to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, priming, or sealing them.
- Repair cracks and holes with appropriate materials such as plaster or putty.
- Mix and match paint colors, textures, and finishes according to specifications or client requests.
- Apply paint, varnish, stain, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray guns.
- Operate various equipment, including sprayers, ladders, and scaffolding, safely and efficiently.
- Protect surrounding areas and furniture with drop cloths and masking tape.
- Inspect finished surfaces for quality and address any imperfections.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations on the job site.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper storage of tools and materials.
- Collaborate effectively with other construction team members to ensure project timelines are met.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Painter, specifically in building renovation.
- Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them.
- Solid understanding of color theory and various finishing techniques.
- Proficiency in surface preparation techniques (scraping, sanding, priming).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard for quality workmanship.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform demanding tasks, including standing, climbing, and lifting.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
