Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced painters with surface preparation, including cleaning, sanding, patching, and masking areas.
- Set up and take down ladders, scaffolding, and other painting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Help mix and apply paint, primers, and other finishes under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper disposal of waste materials.
- Protect adjacent surfaces by covering them with drop cloths, plastic, or tape.
- Clean and properly store brushes, rollers, sprayers, and other painting tools and equipment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project progress and any issues.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced painters.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
