Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, and priming.
- Accurately mix and match paint colours and finishes according to specifications.
- Apply various types of paint, stains, and finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
- Protect surrounding areas and non-painted surfaces with drop cloths, tape, and masking.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, cleaning up tools and supplies daily.
- Adhere strictly to all safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with other renovation team members (carpenters, plasterers, electricians).
- Inspect finished surfaces for quality and address any imperfections or touch-ups required.
- Maintain and properly store all painting equipment and tools.
- Communicate project progress and any potential issues to the site supervisor.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a professional Painter, preferably in renovation or construction.
- Expertise in various surface preparation techniques.
- Proficiency in applying a wide range of paint types and finishes.
- Excellent colour matching and aesthetic judgment.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
- Solid understanding of painting safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina, dexterity, and ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
