Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, scraping, and patching holes or cracks.
- Assist skilled painters in applying various types of paint, stains, and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
- Mix and match paint colors according to project specifications and client requirements.
- Protect surrounding areas, furniture, and fixtures from paint splatter by carefully covering them with drop cloths, tarps, or painter's tape.
- Clean and maintain all painting tools, brushes, rollers, sprayers, and equipment thoroughly after each use.
- Transport painting supplies, equipment, and materials safely and efficiently to and from various work sites.
- Inspect finished surfaces diligently to ensure a smooth, even, and high-quality finish that adheres to project standards and client expectations.
- Strictly follow all established safety guidelines, protocols, and procedures on the job site to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your team.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment, minimizing clutter and potential hazards.
- Communicate effectively and proactively with team members, supervisors, and project managers regarding progress, challenges, or any emerging issues.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge and understanding of painting techniques, tools, and materials.
