Operating state-of-the-art emergency vehicles and equipment, you will adhere strictly to established protocols, company policies, and local, state, and federal regulations. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and provide advanced life support (ALS) services.
  • Administer medications and perform invasive procedures as per protocol and medical direction.
  • Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment and vehicles with proficiency.
  • Safely transport patients to appropriate medical facilities while continuously monitoring their condition.
  • Document patient care activities accurately and thoroughly using electronic patient care reporting (ePCR) systems.
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Adhere strictly to all local, state, and federal EMS regulations and company policies.
  • Participate actively in continuous training, drills, and professional development programs.
  • Maintain readiness of emergency vehicles and equipment, including cleaning, restocking, and regular checks.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to emergency calls, demonstrating leadership and composure under pressure.

Required Skills

  • Current Paramedic certification in the State of Indiana.
  • Current certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and ITLS/PHTLS (International Trauma Life Support/Prehospital Trauma Life Support).
  • Valid Indiana Driver's License with an excellent driving record.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Paramedic in an emergency setting.
  • Proficiency in advanced medical procedures, equipment operation, and medication administration.
  • Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for patient reports and team coordination.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in high-stress, dynamic environments.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver patients and equipment, often in challenging conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Emergency Medical Services or a related healthcare field.
  • Previous experience in a high-volume urban or rural EMS system.
  • Instructor certifications (e.g., BLS Instructor, ACLS Instructor).
  • Bilingual proficiency, particularly in Spanish, to better serve diverse patient populations.
  • Demonstrated experience with various electronic patient care reporting (ePCR) systems.
