Key Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency calls promptly and efficiently, assessing patients' conditions and determining appropriate medical interventions.
- Provide advanced life support, including airway management, defibrillation, intravenous access, and medication administration.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, interpret vital signs, and make accurate clinical judgments in high-pressure situations.
- Safely and efficiently transport patients to appropriate medical facilities, maintaining continuous care during transit.
- Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment and vehicles in accordance with safety standards and protocols.
- Document patient care records meticulously, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Liaise effectively with other healthcare professionals, emergency services, and patient families to coordinate care.
- Adhere strictly to clinical guidelines, ethical standards, and professional codes of conduct.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain and enhance clinical competencies.
Required Skills
- Valid Paramedic registration (e.g., HCPC for UK or equivalent international registration)
- Minimum 3 years (36 months) post-qualification experience as a Paramedic
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification or equivalent
- Proven ability to manage critical and life-threatening emergencies
- Excellent decision-making skills under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Full clean driving licence appropriate for emergency vehicles
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a diverse emergency services environment
- Additional specialist qualifications (e.g., Trauma, Paediatric Advanced Life Support)
