Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and accurately sort incoming parcels and packages according to destination, size, and type, ensuring proper segregation.
- Utilize handheld scanning devices to meticulously track parcel movement, update inventory records, and maintain data integrity.
- Inspect packages for damage, irregularities, or mislabeling, promptly reporting any issues to the shift supervisor.
- Efficiently place sorted parcels onto designated conveyor belts, storage racks, or into specific staging areas for subsequent processing or loading.
- Operate basic material handling equipment, such as manual pallet jacks, safely and proficiently after receiving appropriate training.
- Maintain an impeccably clean, organized, and safe working environment within the sorting facility, strictly adhering to all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Assist with the careful and secure loading of outgoing packages onto delivery vehicles, ensuring proper weight distribution and stability.
- Collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to ensure seamless operational flow and meet daily targets.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including strict attendance, punctuality standards, and dress code.
Required Skills
- Ability to read, understand, and follow basic instructions and labels in English.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Good physical stamina, capable of lifting and carrying packages weighing up to 25 kg regularly and safely.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods during a shift.
