Key Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned routes on foot or by vehicle to observe parking conditions and enforce parking regulations.
- Identify and document parking violations, including expired meters, illegal parking, permit violations, and other infractions.
- Accurately issue parking citations using handheld electronic devices or manual forms.
- Educate the public on parking rules and regulations, providing clear and courteous explanations.
- Respond to public inquiries and complaints regarding parking issues in a professional and helpful manner.
- Maintain detailed records of daily activities, violations observed, and citations issued.
- Report abandoned vehicles, street hazards, or other public safety concerns to appropriate authorities.
- Operate and maintain assigned equipment, including vehicles, handheld devices, and communication tools.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and departmental procedures.
- Appear in court to provide testimony regarding citations when required.
