You will interact directly with our patrons, assisting them with their selections, answering questions about our dishes, and providing a high level of attentive service. This position requires someone who is proactive, able to anticipate guest needs, and works effectively as part of a team. Physical stamina is essential as the role involves standing for extended periods, lifting, and carrying food trays. Key Responsibilities
- Set up buffet stations accurately and aesthetically before service hours, ensuring all serving utensils and condiments are readily available.
- Monitor food levels on the buffet line continuously and replenish dishes promptly to ensure a consistent supply for guests.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the buffet area throughout service, wiping down surfaces and handling spills efficiently.
- Greet guests warmly, assist with their selections, and answer any questions regarding menu items, ingredients, or allergens.
- Ensure all food items are kept at appropriate temperatures according to food safety guidelines.
- Assist kitchen staff with minor food preparation tasks, such as cutting fruits or refilling small serving bowls, as needed.
- Clear used plates and utensils from guest tables in the buffet area, contributing to a clean and pleasant dining environment.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure smooth service operations.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations and company policies.
- Perform end-of-service breakdown and cleaning tasks for the buffet area.
