Job Description

TELUS is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-Time Corporate Training Support Aide to join our dynamic Learning & Development team in Brentwood, Burnaby. In this essential role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of our corporate training programs, both in-person and virtually. You will work closely with trainers, program managers, and employees, providing critical administrative and logistical support that underpins successful learning experiences. You will be responsible for everything from preparing training materials and setting up technology to coordinating schedules and assisting participants. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistical arrangements for training sessions, including scheduling rooms, managing participant registrations, and sending out pre-training communications.
  • Prepare and organize training materials, presentations, and handouts, ensuring accuracy and availability for all participants.
  • Provide technical support during in-person and virtual training sessions, including setting up audio-visual equipment, managing virtual meeting platforms, and troubleshooting minor technical issues.
  • Maintain and update training records, attendance sheets, and feedback forms, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Manage the inventory of training supplies and equipment, initiating reorder requests as needed.
  • Assist trainers with various administrative tasks, such as managing calendars, drafting correspondence, and compiling reports.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for training participants, addressing inquiries and providing assistance in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support post-training activities, including distributing surveys, compiling feedback, and assisting with follow-up communications.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of training processes and materials by identifying opportunities for efficiency and enhancement.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an administrative or support role, preferably within a corporate environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Strong organizational skills with an exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and approachable demeanor.
  • Basic technical aptitude for troubleshooting A/V equipment and virtual meeting platforms.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Proactive attitude and a strong commitment to customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or other training software.
  • Experience in a corporate training, HR, or education support function.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and new technologies.
