Job Description

Mandera Primary School is seeking dedicated and empathetic Part-Time Home Tutors to provide personalized academic support to our students within the comfort of their homes across Mandera County. Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized or small-group tutoring to primary school students in core subjects (Mathematics, English, Kiswahili, Science).
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to students' specific academic needs and learning styles.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Identify learning gaps and develop strategies to help students overcome academic challenges.
- Reinforce concepts taught in the classroom and assist with homework assignments and exam preparation.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student performance and progress.
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment.
- Adhere to Mandera Primary School's educational standards and policies.
Required Skills
- Excellent command of core primary school subjects (Mathematics, English, Kiswahili, Science).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and parents.

Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with the Kenyan Primary School curriculum (CBC).
- Residency within Mandera County or proven ability to commute reliably.
- First Aid/CPR certification (desirable but not mandatory).
