Key Responsibilities
- Actively assist skilled fabricators with a variety of tasks, including precise measuring, accurate cutting, meticulous grinding, and expert shaping of various metal materials.
- Safely and efficiently operate basic fabrication machinery and hand tools, such as grinders, drills, and saws, always under direct supervision.
- Prepare materials thoroughly for welding, cutting, and assembly processes, ensuring strict adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
- Efficiently transport materials, components, and finished products within the workshop using appropriate manual and mechanical equipment.
- Maintain a consistently clean, organized, and safe working environment, regularly clearing debris, securing tools, and ensuring clear pathways.
- Conduct initial inspections of finished products for quality assurance and compliance with specified requirements, reporting any deviations promptly.
- Rigorously follow all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring the correct and continuous use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist with the careful loading and unloading of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring proper handling, inventory management, and secure storage.
- Perform general shop duties and tasks as assigned by supervisors, contributing to the overall efficiency and smooth operation of the workshop.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment through effective communication, mutual support, and a proactive approach to teamwork.
Required Skills
- A foundational understanding and practical familiarity with common hand and power tools typically found in an industrial workshop setting.
- Proficiency in reading and accurately interpreting basic measurements, blueprints, and verbal/written instructions.
- Demonstrated physical stamina and the ability to safely lift and maneuver heavy objects (up to 25kg) and comfortably stand for extended periods.
