Job Description

Mota-Engil Moçambique is seeking a diligent and organized Part-Time Site Assistant to join our project team on an ongoing construction site within the 25 de Junho area of Maputo. This pivotal role involves providing essential administrative and logistical support to the site management team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our construction projects. As a Site Assistant, you will be integral to maintaining efficient communication channels, managing documentation, and assisting with various on-site coordination tasks. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Site Manager and project team, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and handling correspondence.
  • Maintain and organize site documentation, including drawings, permits, daily logs, safety records, and project files, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Assist with the procurement process, including tracking material orders, coordinating deliveries, and verifying invoices.
  • Act as a central point of contact for internal and external communications, filtering calls and inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support site safety initiatives by assisting with safety briefings, documentation, and compliance checks.
  • Manage office supplies and equipment on-site, ensuring availability and proper functioning.
  • Help coordinate logistics for site personnel, including travel arrangements and accommodation when necessary.
  • Prepare presentation materials and summaries for project updates and stakeholder meetings.
  • Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, data entry, and filing.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese and English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative or support role.
