Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Warehouse Stock Handler to join our operations in Fumba, Zanzibar Urban-West. This pivotal role involves the careful management of goods within our warehouse, ensuring that all items are received, stored, picked, and dispatched with utmost accuracy and efficiency. As a Warehouse Stock Handler, you will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our inventory, safeguarding products, and contributing to the overall smooth operation of our supply chain. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments, verifying quantities against purchase orders and checking for discrepancies or damages.
  • Efficiently and safely unload goods from delivery vehicles using appropriate equipment.
  • Organize and store inventory in designated locations within the warehouse, ensuring optimal space utilization and easy accessibility.
  • Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to specified instructions and deadlines.
  • Assist in the loading of outgoing shipments onto delivery vehicles.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in maintaining accurate stock records.
  • Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and responsibly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times, adhering to all company safety protocols.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or inventory discrepancies to management.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 kg, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills for counting and documentation.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Commitment to following safety procedures and guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (at least 6 months) in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Familiarity with basic inventory management systems or processes.
  • Experience operating manual pallet jacks or similar warehouse equipment.
  • A secondary school certificate (Form IV) or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Swahili and basic English.
