Career.zycto is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Parts Manager to join our dedicated team in Vauban, Freiburg im Breisgau. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the parts department, including ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing parts.
- Manage and optimize inventory levels to minimize obsolescence and maximize availability, utilizing inventory management software.
- Develop and implement strategies for parts procurement, negotiating with suppliers for favorable pricing and terms.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Lead, mentor, and train a team of parts associates, fostering a productive and positive work environment focused on high performance and safety.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards within the parts department.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal departments (e.g., service, production) and external vendors to ensure seamless operations.
- Generate comprehensive reports on inventory performance, costs, departmental efficiency, and key metrics for management review.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives for parts processes, logistics, and warehouse layout to enhance overall productivity and service.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Parts Manager or in a similar inventory management leadership role, with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles, supply chain management, and logistics.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems) and MS Office Suite (especially Excel for data analysis and reporting).
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities to manage complex stock and operational challenges.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal, for vendor relations and team leadership.
- Ability to effectively lead, motivate, and develop a team to achieve departmental goals.
- Detail-oriented with an unwavering focus on accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken) to effectively communicate in a multicultural environment.

- Certification in inventory management (e.g., CPIM – Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or a related professional qualification.
- Familiarity with the automotive, machinery, industrial parts, or manufacturing sector.
