Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the pastry section, including inventory, ordering, cost control, and waste management.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in the pastry kitchen.
  • Train and mentor junior pastry staff, fostering a collaborative and skilled team environment.
  • Collaborate with the head chef and culinary team to integrate pastry creations seamlessly into overall menu concepts and special events.
  • Monitor equipment functionality and ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of all pastry tools and machinery.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and emerging pastry techniques.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Baker in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, or catering setting.
  • Exceptional creativity and artistic flair in dessert design and presentation.
  • Strong knowledge of baking and pastry techniques, including advanced cake decorating, chocolate work, and sugar artistry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a pastry kitchen efficiently, including inventory and staff supervision.
