Career.zycto is seeking an exceptionally talented and dedicated Pastry Chef specializing in Cakes & Desserts to join our vibrant culinary team in Nyamira County. You will be responsible for the entire pastry section, from conceptualization and recipe development to production, quality control, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, prepare, and bake a wide range of cakes, pastries, tarts, cookies, and other dessert items.
  • Develop new and innovative dessert recipes, incorporating seasonal and local ingredients.
  • Manage the daily operations of the pastry section, including ordering, inventory, and cost control.
  • Ensure all pastry products meet the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor junior pastry staff and apprentices.
  • Collaborate with the head chef and other kitchen staff to coordinate dessert production with meal service.
  • Manage food waste and ensure efficient use of ingredients.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and new pastry techniques.

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, particularly with cakes and desserts.
