Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking a compassionate and highly organized Patient Access Representative to join our dedicated team in Glendale, California. This full-time role is pivotal as you will serve as the initial point of contact for patients, families, and visitors, setting the tone for their entire healthcare experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients, families, and visitors warmly and professionally upon arrival, providing a positive first impression.
  • Accurately register patients, collecting and verifying demographic, insurance, and medical history information.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, manage cancellations, and reschedule as necessary.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, communicating patient financial responsibilities clearly and sensitively.
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other patient payments, ensuring accurate cash handling and reconciliation.
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries, providing information or directing calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and company policy.
  • Prepare patient charts and ensure all necessary documentation is complete and organized.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and other departments to ensure seamless patient flow and exceptional care coordination.
  • Educate patients on facility policies, procedures, and available services.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare administrative or customer service role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, electronic medical records (EMR), and standard office software.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • A compassionate and patient-focused approach to service.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field.
  • Experience with Epic or other major EMR systems.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
