Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, while maintaining their dignity and privacy.
- Help patients with mobility, transferring them safely between beds, chairs, and other areas as required.
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) accurately, reporting any significant changes to nursing staff.
- Assist with feeding patients who require assistance, ensuring they receive proper nutrition and hydration.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of patient rooms and common areas, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
- Transport patients within the facility for appointments, tests, or procedures as directed.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, listening to their concerns and communicating effectively with them and their families.
- Restock supplies in patient rooms and treatment areas, ensuring availability of necessary equipment and consumables.
- Respond promptly and courteously to patient call bells and requests.
- Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare team members to provide holistic patient care.
- Document observations and actions accurately in patient records as per established procedures.
