Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and guiding them through their healthcare journey.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments with various medical providers and specialists.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, and assist with pre-authorizations when necessary.
- Facilitate referrals to specialists and ensure all necessary documentation is transferred accurately.
- Educate patients on their care plans, medication schedules, and pre/post-procedure instructions.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, pharmacies, and other relevant parties to ensure seamless patient care.
- Resolve patient concerns and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Monitor patient adherence to treatment plans and follow up as required.
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA guidelines and all patient privacy regulations.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a patient-facing role within a healthcare setting or customer service.
