Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate patient appointments for various clinics, departments, and medical practitioners using the hospital's scheduling system.
- Respond to patient inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing accurate information regarding appointments, preparations, and general hospital services.
- Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and appointment details, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.
- Collaborate closely with clinical staff, nurses, and doctors to accommodate urgent appointments and reschedule as necessary.
- Educate patients on pre-appointment instructions, required documentation, and follow-up care procedures.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to all hospital policies and data privacy regulations.
- Resolve scheduling conflicts and patient concerns with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.
- Process referrals, track cancellations, and manage no-shows, optimizing appointment slots.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for scheduling processes and patient experience.
- Provide administrative support to the healthcare team as needed, ensuring smooth clinic operations.
