Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Entry-Level Patrol Security Guard to join our team in the beautiful Lakeview area of Regina. This full-time, on-site role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to begin a rewarding career in security services. As a Patrol Security Guard, you will be the eyes and ears of our operations, playing a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, assets, and personnel. Your primary duties will involve conducting regular patrols, observing and reporting any suspicious activities, and responding effectively to alarms or incidents. We are looking for someone with a keen sense of observation, strong integrity, and a proactive approach to safety.
You will be tasked with securing designated areas, monitoring surveillance equipment, and ensuring compliance with established security policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular, thorough patrols of designated areas, both interior and exterior, to deter crime and ensure safety.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, access points, and alarm systems.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergency calls, and security incidents.
- Document and report all incidents, suspicious activities, safety hazards, and patrol observations accurately.
- Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Provide excellent customer service and assistance to staff, visitors, and clients as needed.
- Control access to premises, verifying identification and logging visitors.
- Assist with emergency evacuations and crowd control during incidents.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Excellent observational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
- Strong sense of integrity and professionalism.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Valid SGI Class 5 Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and system monitoring.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to obtain or possession of a valid Saskatchewan Security Guard License prior to employment.
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR/AED certification.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Familiarity with the Lakeview, Regina area.
