Are you a highly skilled and experienced Pattern Maker looking to make a significant impact in the fashion and apparel industry? Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Pattern Maker to join our network, contributing to the creation of high-quality garments from initial concept to final production. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for translating design sketches and specifications into accurate patterns, ensuring optimal fit, drape, and manufacturing efficiency. We are looking for an individual with a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of garment construction, and proficiency in both traditional and digital pattern-making techniques.

As a Pattern Maker with Career.zycto, you will collaborate closely with designers, sample makers, and production teams to refine patterns, conduct fittings, and implement necessary adjustments. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the integrity of design vision while ensuring technical feasibility and cost-effectiveness. Key Responsibilities

  • Translate design sketches and technical specifications into precise and accurate patterns for various garment types.
  • Utilize both manual and CAD software (e.g., Gerber, Optitex, Lectra) for pattern creation, grading, and marker making.
  • Conduct fittings and make necessary pattern adjustments based on design feedback, fit issues, and production requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with designers, sample makers, and production teams throughout the product development cycle.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of pattern revisions, specifications, and grading rules.
  • Ensure patterns adhere to industry standards, brand aesthetics, and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Manage and organize pattern libraries, both physical and digital.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve pattern-related issues that may arise during sampling or production.
  • Stay updated with new fabric technologies, garment construction techniques, and fashion trends to inform pattern development.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in pattern drafting and garment construction techniques
  • Expertise in at least one industry-standard CAD pattern-making software (e.g., Gerber Accumark, Lectra Modaris, Optitex)
  • Strong understanding of fabric properties, draping, and fit analysis
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to interpret design sketches and technical packages
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Pattern Making, or a related field
  • Experience with 3D pattern software (e.g., CLO3D, VStitcher)
  • Knowledge of grading and marker making for mass production
  • Familiarity with different apparel categories (e.g., woven, knit, activewear)
  • Fluency in Portuguese is a plus for local collaboration
