Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Payroll Processing Aide to join our growing team in Supa, Quelimane. This full-time position is crucial to ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payroll for our diverse workforce. As a Payroll Processing Aide, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records and ensuring compliance with all relevant labor laws and internal policies. You will work closely with our human resources and finance departments, contributing to a smooth and efficient payroll cycle. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the accurate and timely processing of weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payroll.
  • Verify timesheets and other payroll-related data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Calculate and process deductions, withholdings, and adjustments.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain organized and confidential payroll records, ensuring data integrity.
  • Assist with the preparation of payroll reports and summaries for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant local labor laws.
  • Support year-end payroll activities, including tax document preparation.
  • Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
  • Perform general administrative tasks as needed to support the payroll function.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a payroll or administrative support role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic understanding of Mozambican labor laws and payroll regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A diploma or certificate in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with payroll software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
