Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary.
  • Administer medication reminders and assist with mobility and transfers.
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities such as reading, light exercise, or conversation.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, including tidying living areas and laundry.
  • Monitor and report any changes in the client's health, behavior, or well-being to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for the client.
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols and care plans.
  • Assist clients with errands, appointments, and social outings as needed.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1.5 years (18 months) experience as a Personal Care Assistant, Caregiver, or similar role.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Physical ability to assist with mobility, lifting (within safe limits), and standing for extended periods.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Understanding of basic first aid and emergency procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in First Aid and CPR.
  • Relevant caregiving certificate or diploma (e.g., Home Health Aide, Certified Nursing Assistant equivalent).
  • Experience working with elderly clients or individuals with specific medical conditions.
  • Additional language proficiency (e.g., Arabic, Hindi, Tagalog).
  • Valid UAE driving license.
