Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with mobility and transfers.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities such as reading, light exercise, or conversation.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including tidying living areas and laundry.
- Monitor and report any changes in the client's health, behavior, or well-being to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for the client.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols and care plans.
- Assist clients with errands, appointments, and social outings as needed.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1.5 years (18 months) experience as a Personal Care Assistant, Caregiver, or similar role.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
- Physical ability to assist with mobility, lifting (within safe limits), and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Understanding of basic first aid and emergency procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in First Aid and CPR.
- Relevant caregiving certificate or diploma (e.g., Home Health Aide, Certified Nursing Assistant equivalent).
- Experience working with elderly clients or individuals with specific medical conditions.
- Additional language proficiency (e.g., Arabic, Hindi, Tagalog).
- Valid UAE driving license.
